Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 19, 2026

This privacy policy explains how Dye-Free (“Dye-Free,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit dye-free.com (the “Site”) or sign up for our emails. We aim to collect as little as we need.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Email signup: your email address (and first name, if you choose to share it) when you request the cheat sheet or join the newsletter.
  • Messages and corrections: your name, email, and anything you include (such as label photos) when you contact us or submit a correction.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider and security tools may log IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring pages.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used to keep the Site working, remember preferences, measure traffic (for example, privacy-friendly analytics tools, if used), and track affiliate referrals (see below).
  • Email engagement: our email provider may record whether an email was opened or a link was clicked.

How we use information

  • To send the cheat sheet and newsletter you asked for.
  • To respond to messages and review corrections.
  • To run, secure, and improve the Site.
  • To understand which content is useful, in aggregate.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your email address with brands or advertisers.

Who we share information with

  • Email service: we use MailerLite to store subscriber lists and send emails. MailerLite processes your information on our behalf under its own privacy policy.
  • Hosting: the Site is hosted by Hostinger.
  • Analytics: we may use analytics tools to understand which pages are useful; this policy will be updated to name them.
  • Affiliate partners: when you click an affiliate link (for example to Amazon, Thrive Market, or Instacart), that retailer or its affiliate network may set cookies to record that you came from our Site. What happens on their sites is governed by their privacy policies.
  • Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Dye-Free, our readers, or others.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe any time with the link at the bottom of every email.
  • Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work without them.
  • Access, correction, and deletion: use the form on our contact page to ask what information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional legal rights, and we will honor requests as required by applicable law.

Children’s privacy

Dye-Free is written for parents and caregivers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and security

We keep subscriber information while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward, and correction submissions for as long as needed to maintain accurate records. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date.
