Affiliate Disclosure

Short version: Dye-Free is free to read. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That money never changes our label results.

Which links are affiliate links

We may participate in affiliate programs with retailers such as Amazon, Thrive Market, and Instacart, and with affiliate networks. When a page contains affiliate links, we say so near the top of the page and label the links themselves (for example “affiliate link” or “paid link”).

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Our independence

  • Label results (“Dye-free,” “Contains dyes,” “Check label”) come only from the ingredient label and the dated source shown, as described in how we rate.
  • We don’t change a result because of a commission, sponsorship, free product, or request from a brand.
  • We link to products we have checked, whether or not an affiliate program exists for them.
  • Brands cannot pay for a review, a better placement in our label checks, or removal of a result.

Sponsorships and free products

If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labeled “Sponsored” and kept separate from our label checks. If a brand sends us a product for free, we will say so on any page where we mention it.

Why we tell you this

We want you to know exactly how the site is funded so you can decide how to use our information. US law also requires clear disclosure of these relationships; see the FTC’s Endorsement Guides FAQ.
